6/14/10-Newark Police/Sheriff to Share Fed Grant $
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant will bring $16,770.00 to law enforcement agencies in Newark and Licking County.

The City plans to expend $9,000.00 to enhance technology initiatives. The Licking County Sheriff is considering targeting $7,700.00 for mobile data terminals, a dash camera, pistols, targets, or weapon magazines.

The grant will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Justice. Legislation will be presented June 14th before the Newark Finance Committee.
